Job Description

SIGA is recruiting a Head of Communications, Media and Events.  The SIGA Head of Communications, Media and Events will lead, develop and implement an integrated approach to the development and delivery of SIGA’s communication, media and events’ requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise an engaging communications’ strategy, comprising a proactive media relations’ strategy, which will champion SIGA’s vision and mission and generate awareness and recognition within sports movement and beyond.
  • Lead the content management for SIGA, managing the website and all social media activities to ensure maximum exposure for SIGA.
  • Create content, including press releases, op-eds, editorials, brochures, annual reports, newsletters, website content, promotional posters, event guides and other relevant materials.
  • Manage media engagement and distribution of media materials.
  • As part of a proactive international and regional media outreach, build and develop close relations with relevant media with the aim of securing strong editorial coverage and media visibility.
  • Ensure that all SIGA spokespeople and stakeholders are fully briefed and equipped to capitalise on all media engagement opportunities.
  • Monitor media for relevant developments and opportunities and alert SIGA in real time to any issues that need to be quickly
  • Lead SIGA’s event project management, including project planning, content, marketing, budgeting and event delivery.
  • Identify and liaise with photographers, video/TV production teams/website developers as required.
  • Draft speaking notes and develop briefing material for SIGA leadership where required and represent SIGA at events and meetings.

 The Successful candidate will have:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications’ skills.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in communications, preferably within the sports industry.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, particularly with the media.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications’ strategy and communications plan.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment and of delivering high quality communications’ work and to tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding writing and proof-reading skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Existing network of key media and other stakeholders relevant to SIGA.
  • Experience in managing social media and other online marketing tools.
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Being a positive, constructive, supportive and flexible member of the Team.

Location: London / Geneva

Period: Six Months, renewable

Job Description

SIGA is recruiting a full-time Executive Assistant to the CEO to be based in Geneva with immediate start.  The Executive Assistant will provide a full administrative assistance to the CEO of SIGA as and when required. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for organising and coordinating the CEO’s outreach and external relations efforts and assisting with this projects efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the CEO in supporting the overall strategy to meet SIGA’s objectives;
  • Managing the CEO’s schedule and maintaining his diary;
  • Arranging complex travel in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Compiling documentation and background information to assist the CEO with preparations for his meetings;
  • Organising internal and external meetings and conference calls and preparing the related documents;
  • Undertaking research assignments when required;
  • Processing expenses;
  • Drafting PowerPoint presentations, letters and reports to a high standard, as requested by the CEO;
  • Serving as the CEO’s administrative liaison;
  • Liaising with the SIGA Executive Team to ensure coordination and support as appropriate;
  • Assisting with the organisation of events hosted by SIGA;
  • Prioritising needs and handling matters expeditiously and proactively
  • Following-up on projects to successful completion, observing required deadlines;
  • Performing all other tasks and assignments entrusted to them by the CEO.

 The Successful candidate:

  • A minimum 3-year experience supporting senior level executives;
  • An independent self-starter, with excellent organisational skills;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills;
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent;
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Proficiency in English French and ; knowledge of other European languages would be an asset;
  • Flexible and proactive attitude;
  • Problem-solver: resourceful, result-oriented, and proactive;
  • Ability to work in an international environment;
  • Available to travel;
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to multi-task when under pressure;
  • Being a positive, constructive, supportive and flexible member of the Team.

Location: Geneva

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00, with some flexibility and travel required.

Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the Switzerland.
