Job Description

SIGA is recruiting a Head of Communications, Media and Events.  The SIGA Head of Communications, Media and Events will lead, develop and implement an integrated approach to the development and delivery of SIGA’s communication, media and events’ requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise an engaging communications’ strategy, comprising a proactive media relations’ strategy, which will champion SIGA’s vision and mission and generate awareness and recognition within sports movement and beyond.
  • Lead the content management for SIGA, managing the website and all social media activities to ensure maximum exposure for SIGA.
  • Create content, including press releases, op-eds, editorials, brochures, annual reports, newsletters, website content, promotional posters, event guides and other relevant materials.
  • Manage media engagement and distribution of media materials.
  • As part of a proactive international and regional media outreach, build and develop close relations with relevant media with the aim of securing strong editorial coverage and media visibility.
  • Ensure that all SIGA spokespeople and stakeholders are fully briefed and equipped to capitalise on all media engagement opportunities.
  • Monitor media for relevant developments and opportunities and alert SIGA in real time to any issues that need to be quickly
  • Lead SIGA’s event project management, including project planning, content, marketing, budgeting and event delivery.
  • Identify and liaise with photographers, video/TV production teams/website developers as required.
  • Draft speaking notes and develop briefing material for SIGA leadership where required and represent SIGA at events and meetings.

 The Successful candidate will have:

  •  Outstanding verbal and written communications’ skills.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in communications, preferably within the sports industry.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, particularly with the media.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications’ strategy and communications plan.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment and of delivering high quality communications’ work and to tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding writing and proof-reading skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Existing network of key media and other stakeholders relevant to SIGA.
  • Experience in managing social media and other online marketing tools.
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Being a positive, constructive, supportive and flexible member of the Team.

Location: London / Geneva

Period: Six Months, renewable

Job Description

SIGA is recruiting a full-time Administrative Assistant to be based in London on a short-term contract with potential to extend to start immediately.  The SIGA Administrative Assistant will provide full administrative assistance to the CEO of SIGA as and when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CEO in supporting the business and overall strategy to meet SIGA’s objectives as far as administration, logistics and operations of events;
  • Organising schedules, maintaining diaries, arranging travel and accommodation and processing expenses;
  • Assist the Team in their day to day activities by providing support, guidance and operational management of administration;
  • Create PowerPoint presentations, letters and reports to a high standard, as requested by the CEO;
  • Assist with the organisation of events hosted by SIGA;
  • Perform all other tasks and assignments entrusted to them by the Team.

The Successful candidate: 

  • An independent self-starter, with excellent organisational skills;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications’ skills;
  • Proven relevant experience in administration and/or operations;
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent;
  • Experience of operating with senior executives within an organisation;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Flexible attitude;
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multi-task when under pressure;
  • Being a positive, constructive, supportive and flexible member of the Team.

Location: Mayfair, London

Period: Three months, renewable

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00, with some flexibility and travel required.

Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the UK, as SIGA will not be providing sponsorship for this position.
