SIGA is recruiting a full-time Office Manager to be based in Geneva with immediate start.  The Office Manager will provide full administrative assistance to the CEO of SIGA and General Counsel as and when required and will be responsible for the smooth running of the office as well as be an integral part of the SIGA Team. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a dynamic environment and contribute both on the administration front as well as develop SIGA’s profile in Switzerland and beyond.

Location: Geneva

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00, with some flexibility and travel required. Out of hours, work also arises on a periodical basis.

Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the Switzerland as SIGA will not be providing sponsorship for this position.

Job Description:

SIGA is recruiting a Head of Communications, Media and Events.  The SIGA Head of Communications, Media and Events will lead, develop and implement an integrated approach to the development and delivery of SIGA’s communication, media and events’ requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise an engaging communications’ strategy, comprising a proactive media relations’ strategy, which will champion SIGA’s vision and mission and generate awareness and recognition within sports movement and beyond.
  • Lead the content management for SIGA, managing the website and all social media activities to ensure maximum exposure for SIGA.
  • Create content, including press releases, op-eds, editorials, brochures, annual reports, newsletters, website content, promotional posters, event guides and other relevant materials.
  • Manage media engagement and distribution of media materials.
  • As part of a proactive international and regional media outreach, build and develop close relations with relevant media with the aim of securing strong editorial coverage and media visibility.
  • Ensure that all SIGA spokespeople and stakeholders are fully briefed and equipped to capitalise on all media engagement opportunities.
  • Monitor media for relevant developments and opportunities and alert SIGA in real time to any issues that need to be quickly
  • Lead SIGA’s event project management, including project planning, content, marketing, budgeting and event delivery.
  • Identify and liaise with photographers, video/TV production teams/website developers as required.
  • Draft speaking notes and develop briefing material for SIGA leadership where required and represent SIGA at events and meetings.

 The Successful candidate will have:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications’ skills.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in communications, preferably within the sports industry.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, particularly with the media.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications’ strategy and communications plan.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment and of delivering high quality communications’ work and to tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding writing and proof-reading skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Existing network of key media and other stakeholders relevant to SIGA.
  • Experience in managing social media and other online marketing tools.
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Being a positive, constructive, supportive and flexible member of the Team.

Location: London / Geneva

Period: Six Months, renewable
